---FACTS AND TIPS---

-True G4m3r takes about 1113 seconds to get. -The most common glitch is caused by holding up and right while in a corner to the bottom right of the character. If you can avoid doing this, you will find that there are a lot less random deaths. To see what I am talking about, go into the tutorial and keep holding up and right. -Never press K while standing next to a wall four or more blocks high that is composed of two or more pieces. You will almost certainly die. -Ninja is by far the hardest medal in this game. Contrary to popular belief, it is not impossible. -If you are falling off the side, try using either J or K to save yourself. It can really help out. -If you are about to get crushed, sometimes J will glitch the character to jump up through the block and K will glitch the character to roll through the block. -True G4m3rs know how to use exploits to their advantage.

After receiving an overwhelming number of requests, I present to you the TETRIS'D game! I teamed up with, programmer, Cam McKinnon (LittleMonsterGames) in order to bring this game to life. Also, we kept Parker's fantastic music!

Avoid the deadly tetrominoes and stay alive as long as you possibly can. The game goes on for as long as you can stay alive. The goal is to get the highest score possible.

CONTROLS: Walk: Left/Right (or A/D) Jump: Up (or W) Grab+Roll: K (you grab onto a block next to you, and flip onto it) Wall Jump: J

On a side note, I would like to thank all of my fans. You guys are the force that keeps me coming back to Newgrounds. I would also like to thank the game's sponsor, StickPage.com. They have a nice section dedicated to the Tetris'd series that you can check out!

Good luck everyone, and enjoy.

T E T R I S ' D: The Game is an Avoid game by cobra0528. It is based on his popular series of "T E T R I S ' D" animations, which is in turn based on the massively successfull game Tetris, created by Alexy Pajitnov and Vadim Gerasimov, originally for the Electronika 60.

Gameplay

Other than a brief tutorial, the player's only option is to play the main game with the aim of a high score. The player's goal is simple: their stick figure character must avoid being crushed by falling tetrads. The character is capable of the standard running and jumping found in most platforming games, and can be controlled using either the A, W, and D keys, or the arrow keys. However, the stickman also has two special moves. One, the Wall Jump, is activated using the J key. This will allow the player to jump off of the side of a tetrad while in air, and is useful for getting out of chasms. The second, the roll ability, is activated by the K key. This allows the player to grab onto a tetrad and roll up onto it. It allows the player to get out of harm's way much more easily than jumping.

Presentation

TETRIS'D - The Game

T E T R I S ' D: The Game uses simple graphics for a game of its era.

T E T R I S ' D: The Game has a modest presentation. The stick figure is about as simple as a character can get, and the various blocks look almost identical, save for their different colors and combinations. There is also only one simple background, and only a single song, Tetris Remix [Final], which is based on Korobeiniki, the most common music used in Tetris, is used during gameplay.

Reception

T E T R I S ' D: The Game is the most popular entry in the T E T R I S ' D series. Although the game only won the Daily 3rd award, it has had over a million views as of January 2012. It also has a respectable review average of 8.4/10, and was also well received enough to warrant the inclusion of Newgrounds Medals. However there has been some complaints that some of the medals are hard to earn, due to the game's programing.

Other Tetris Parodies/Versions

Tetris is one of the most famous and popular video games ever created, as well as one of the best selling. It has spawned a string of professional versions for many video game consoles, most home computers, phones and even oscilloscopes. Newgrounds is far from immune to this profusion. A search on the Portal reveals over 340 submissions, with a wide range of games and toons of all descriptions.
